General Rental Policy:
All Boat and Jet Ski operators must have a valid driver’s licenses and be 25 years of age
Jet Ski Operators must be 25 and up and watch the DNR Safety Video OR→
Effective July 1, 2014, all rental customers are required to complete a Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Rental Education Course or an approved Georgia Boaters Safety Course. YOUTUBE Georgia DNR SAFETY VIDEO
Georgia DNR law, states all occupants 13 years of age and under must wear a life jacket at all times. All Jet Ski operators and passengers must wear Life jackets which are provided with the rentals.
Rates do not include fuel costs.
Reservation require full payment up front at scheduling of a rental, and are required for each vessel.
Security Deposits are based on which vessel you rent. You must have a valid credit or debit card to rent.
Upon the return and inspection of the vessel(s), the cash or check security deposit is returned to you, when the vessel(s) are returned in the same condition as they were upon your departure.
A late charge of $50.00 for every 15 minutes past the return time. Also if you get lost and we retrieve you from the lake there will be a charge of $175.00 for the pick up.
Do arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled rental time. All safety vessel instructions, along with the wavier and release of liability form to be signed must be completed before the rental begins.
********Rental times cannot be extended due to late arrivals. A confirmed reservation, the fee, will hold your rental up to 30 minutes after your scheduled time to depart, however the fee is forfeited after that time , it will be considered a NO Show for the reservation.
Open flames, grills, or cooking equipment of any type is prohibited an all rental boats.
Each rental vessel, leaves with a full tank of fuel, Once the vessel is returned and refueled the renter is responsible for the amount of fuel used during the rental.
Changes to reservations or cancellations must be made by phone to Bait Shack Watersports, ONLY future credit will be made. This must be done one week in advance
Bad Weather cancellation Bad weather is bad weather. You are responsible for checking the forecast before you go out. No prorated times for later dates.
